We’ve been impressed by Hook Security’s work innovating in the cybersecurity space since they stopped by the Hello Chaos Podcast earlier this year, but seeing them recognized on stage at a premier startup event was entirely different.
When you get experienced founders together, great stuff can happen. That’s what Adam Anderson, founder and chairman (smiling in the photo above), and Zach Eikenberry, CEO, told us about creating Hook Security.
At NEXT Venture Summit, everybody got together. Founders, funders, and other players in the entrepreneurial ecosystem gathered for a day of learning, deal-making, and celebration on September 22. In the end, Hook Security was selected as the Judges' Choice among 10 finalists, earning Hook a spot to pitch on-stage at Venture Atlanta this month.
But this was just one event for an organization that’s been setting the stage for Upstate entrepreneurs to connect with each other and with the resources they need to grow since 2006. There’s more to come, and more ways to get to know NEXT.
For starters, you can sign up for NEXT’s new Founders Forum, an interactive educational series meant to give founders a solid foundation in the core elements of business-building. Then, get to know Hook Security on Hello Chaos Podcast, or wherever you get your podcasts. Get in where you fit in, and make your great stuff happen.
